Squire Danagher (Australia) Wins His Maiden At Dundalk

Son Of Australia Gains Deserved Maiden Win

Squire Danagher (4c Australia – Sunday Bess, by Deep Impact) built on promising placed efforts to gain a deserved maiden victory at Dundalk on Wednesday.

Andy Oliver’s charge placed twice on the turf and returned in December to place in two Dundalk maidens. He was sent off second favourite for Wednesday’s maiden over ten and a half furlongs, and raced in touch for much of the way under Billy Lee. Quickening from over three furlongs out, he was ridden to lead approaching the final furlong and ran on to score by three parts of a length.

Squire Danagher is owned by Francis Campbell, for whom he has earned prize money on all his starts. The son of Australia was bred by Chasemore Farm.
