Son Of Australia Produces Smart Debut Performance
Oceania Legend (3g Australia - Ame Bleue, by Dubawi) created a fine impression on debut when landing a competitive Novice Stakes at Newcastle.
Racing prominently throughout the mile contest, James Ferguson’s charge was switched right to challenge approaching the final furlong. Shaken up to lead soon after, he was pushed out to score by a length and a half under Daniel Muscutt. The well-bred favourite claimed runners-up honours, while a previous winner took third.
Owned by KK Ho and bred by Dayton Investments, the son of Australia is a three-parts brother to Ame Celeste (Galileo), who sold for €400,000 in December.
