Son Of Camelot Delivers On Debut Promise
There seems much to look forward to with Camelot Tales (3g Camelot - Temptress, by Shirocco), with Simon and Ed Crisford’s charge running out a comfortable winner of his three-year-old return on Monday.
The Saeed Suhail-owned bay finished strongly into fourth on his sole start as a two-year-old and was sent off favourite as he stepped up to ten furlongs in the novice stakes at Redcar. Chasing the leaders under PJ McDonald, he switched right to challenge approaching three furlongs out and led a furlong later. Shaken up a furlong out, he ran on well to score by a length and a quarter, as the favourite Military Mission (Mastercraftsman) claimed second.
Bred by Arrow Farm and Stud, the son of Camelot was bought by Blandford Bloodstock as a yearling for 140,000gns.
