Son Of Getaway Justifies Favouritism On Rules Debut
Getagin (5g Getaway - Ballcrina Girl, by Milan) made a bright start under rules when justifying favouritism in Monday’s bumper at Musselburgh.
The son of Getaway was purchased following his promising debut at Quakerstown for Matty Collins, and is now trained by Sandy Thomson for L Westwood and D & D Armstrong. Partnered by Ryan Mania on Monday, he raced prominently throughout and led approaching the two furlong marker. Ridden inside the final furlong, he kept on well to prevail by half a length on the line.
Getagin was bred by Derwent Dene Farm out of Ballcrina Girl (Milan), whose four-year-old Dawn Supreme (Mahler) finished a promising third on debut in October.
