As Tears Go By (Vadamos) Wins The Rated Hurdle At Wexford

Son Of Vadamos Follows Up In Rated Hurdle

As Tears Go By (5g Vadamos - Our Girl Salley, by Carroll House) continued the fine run of the Gordon Elliott stable when recording back-to-back wins in Wednesday’s Rated Hurdle at Wexford.

Successful on hurdle debut last season, the son of Vadamos defied a lay-off when making all on return earlier this month and was partnered by Corey McGivern once again on Wednesday. The bay made most of the running, but was briefly headed after the second last and battled back under pressure to regain the advantage close home, leading by a neck on the line.

Owned by Caren Walsh and Dee L’Estrange, As Tears Go By has now won three of his five starts over hurdles. The son of Vadamos was bred by Rowland Crellin.
