Son Of Yeats Battles For Second Course And Distance Win

The Bull McCabe (7g Yeats - Twilight View, by Lord Americo) produced a strong staying performance to land Sunday’s Novices’ Hurdle at Stratford.

A course and distance winner in October, the Kim Bailey-trained bay finished second on return earlier this month and was reunited with David Bass to go one better. Leading from flag fall, he was headed on the turn for home, but rallied to regain the advantage at the final flight. Running on well, he scored by six and a half lengths on the line.

Sunday marked a third career win overall for The Bull McCabe, who got off the mark in a five-year-old maiden at Dromahane for Brian Jordan. The son of Yeats was bred by Thomas Ward and hails from the family of Dawn Run.
