Straightforward Maiden Hurdle Win For Maxios Mare

Sunday saw Sashenka (6m Maxios - Sarabia, by One Cool Cat) gain a deserved win over hurdles in the mares’ maiden hurdle at Hereford.

Placed over timber on four previous occasions, the four-time flat winner was sent off favourite for the two mile contest and was ridden to track the leaders by Tom Scudamore. Improving to lead at the final flight, she ran on well to score by four lengths, with another 19 lengths back to the third from a field of 13.
