Unbeaten Australia Filly Takes Flame Of Tara Stakes
Cayenne Pepper (2f Australia - Muwakaba, by Elusive Quality) confirmed her class when extending her unbeaten record to three in Friday’s Group 3 Flame Of Tara Stakes at the Curragh.
Stepping up to a mile for the first time, she made all under Shane Foley and began to quicken from two furlongs out. Ridden a furlong from home, she ran on well to justify favoritism by two and a half lengths, as So Wonderful took second and A New Dawn (Zoffany) ran on into third.
Winning trainer Jessica Harrington commented after the race, “Cayenne Pepper hadn't run since July and she had to do that the hard way. She stays great and is so easy and straightforward. She's in the Fillies Mile at Newmarket, that's a possibility.”
Cayenne Pepper runs in the colours of Jon S Kelly and was bought on his behalf by Harriet Jellet as a foal for 195,000gns. She was bred by GHS Bloodstock and JC Bloodstock and comes from the family of Urban Sea, Galileo, Sea The Stars and Tamayuz.
