Ally Cascade (4g Golan-Nikkis Alstar, by Fourstars Allstar) looks a horse to follow after winning a Fairyhouse bumper by six lengths on Saturday.
The son of Golan was sold by her jockey Nina Carberry to Michael O’Leary’s Gigginstown House Stud after finishing third on his only previous start in April and has subsequently joined Noel Meade.
“Nina bought him as a three-year-old,” explained Meade to www.irishracing.com. “She brought him down to work at ours before his first run, and I didn’t think he was fit enough. So when he finished third we were keen to buy him. Michael O’Leary was joking beforehand that if he didn’t win he wanted a refund. I texted him to say there was no refund needed now. He quickened up well and is a nice horse. He has a bit of toe and speed and there’s plenty of him. He’ll go jumping straight away.”
Ally Cascade, who was bred by M Cahill, was bought for just €8,200 as a store at last year’s Tattersalls Ireland August Sale by Carberry.
