$105,000 Filly Kicks Off Classic Empire’s Keeneland January
The first day of selling for Classic Empire short yearlings at Keeneland January resulted in a $105,000 filly purchased by Rascal Bloodstock to top his early offerings.
The filly was consigned by Eaton Sales as agent for the estate of the filly’s breeder William D. Graham of Windhaven Farms. She is out of an Uncle Mo half-sister to Canadian Horse of the Year Uncaptured and stakes winner Dancing Raven.
This is the extended family of Grade I winner Curalina and stakes-winning track record setter Queen Del Valle among others.
A Champion 2-Year-Old and Grade I winning 3-year-old himself, Classic Empire is bred on the same cross as Triple Crown winner and Champion Freshman Sire American Pharoah.
