$135,000 Filly for Classic Empire at Saratoga Fall Sale

Champion Classic Empire’s sole offering at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Fall Sale proved to be a hot commodity on Tuesday with the stallion’s weanling daughter out of stakes placed For All You Know selling for $135,000 to Reeves Thoroughbred Racing.

The third most expensive weanling of the sale behind two weanlings by studmate Practical Joke and fourth most expensive offering overall, the filly was consigned by Sequel New York for breeder Magnolia Mares LLC.

“She is a real classy filly,” said Reeves Racing’s Dean Reeves. “She was shown a lot and always showed herself brilliantly. We are delighted to have got her, love her.”

For All You Know is one of two stakes horses out of Foolheartedmemory, a half-sister to Grade II winner Saratoga County.

Classic Empire topped all Freshman sires by average at $135,000 with Practical Joke following close behind on an average of $128,333.
