$380,000 Justify Colt Heads to Three Amigos
A colt by Justify caught the eye of the Three Amigos Racing Stable on Sunday and they happily made him one of the most expensive of the session with a winning $380,000 bid.
Purchased half way through the day’s selling, the Woodford Thoroughbreds-offered colt is the third foal out of Grade III winner and Grade I-placed Blingismything, whose 2-year-old was second at Kentucky Downs only a week before this colt went through the ring.
Bred by consignor Woodford Thoroughbreds, his granddam is the stakes winning Dancing General, who also produced stakes-placed Wave The Flag.
Justify’s yearlings have sold for up to $1.55 million at the Keeneland September Yearling Sale with an average of $383,345 and median of $337,500 for 58 sold.
His gross of $22,234,000 is second behind only Into Mischief and his average second to only one other freshman sire with 14 more sold.
