$400,000 for Declaration of War Colt

War Front was in stellar form at the 2016 Keeneland September Yearling Sale and his Grade I winning son Declaration of War also proved popular with six yearlings from his first crop in Book One selling for up to $400,000. Best result for Declaration of War came with his colt from Red Carpet Miss that made $400,000 for Paramount Sales when snapped up by MV Magnier. The dashing chestnut is the first foal of Malibu Moon mare Red Carpet Miss, a daughter of Grade III winner Stylish. Not far behind was a colt from Strategy, again consigned by Paramount Sales that made $350,000 to the bid of Justin Casse.

Declaration of War achieved a pleasing average of $191,667 and has more yearlings to be offered in coming days.
