$450,000 Colt Ends Classic Empire’s OBS On High Note

Classic Empire ended the OBS Spring Sale of 2-Year-Olds on a high note yesterday when Canary Bloodstock bought a $450,000 colt from L G, as agent.

A :10.1 breezer last week, the colt is a half-brother to stakes winner Kenda and one other winner from two to race out of a stakes winning full sister to Grade III winner Cherokee Queen. Cherokee Queen herself is also the dam of a stakes-placed Entertainer.

This family also sees multiple stakes winner Donoharm and South African stakes winner Desert Palm on this colt’s page.

Bred by Mark Stansell, the juvenile was also sold at last year’s Keeneland September Sale. He is one of six juveniles for Classic Empire to sell for six figures at this sale with the horses selling for $450,000, $410,000, $250,000, ect.

Champion Classic Empire’s first 2-year-olds have seen plenty of success this season with his 19 sold averaging $147,842 with five bringing $250,000 or more this year.
