$535,000 Colt Leads Uncle Mo Offerings in Book 3

Donato Lanni signed for the two most expensive Uncle Mo offerings during Book 3 of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale, led by a $535,000 colt offered by Gainesway.

Signed for on behalf of SF Bloodstock, Starlight, and Madaket, the colt is a half-brother to Group III winner and Group II-placed Shumoos out of a full sister to Grade II winner Cat Fighter. The family has stakes form throughout with the yearling’s second dam the Grade I winning Strategic Maneuver, who also produced Group III winner Ishiguru.

Four of Strategic Maneuver’s daughters have produced stakes performers with three of them producing stakes winners.

The same ownership group purchased a $450,000 colt out of stakes-placed Lucy In Diamonds from Stonehaven Steadings. That mare is a half-sister to multiple stakes winners Kaweah Princess and Biglie Smallworld with Kaweah Princess also producing the Grade III-placed Game Over.

Under the colt’s third dam was Grade III winner Closeout and Family Meeting among 13 stakes performers.

Uncle Mo’s other Book 3 offerings sold for $400,000, $300,000, $250,000, $250,000, etc.
