$550,000 Filly Leads Uncle Mo Offerings At OBS
Top sire Uncle Mo saw his 2-year-old daughter out of Town Tour bring $550,000 as the fourth highest priced horse of the OBS March Two-Year-Olds In Training Sale this week.
The second foal out of the Speightstown mare Town Tour, the Pike Racing-consigned filly sold to Live Oak Plantation early in the second session.
Tour Town herself is a half-sister to multiple Grade I winner Moonshine Memories and the stakes winning, Indian Charlie’s Grade II-placed Indian Evening. Uncle Mo’s stakes-placed Mo For The Money is also one of her half-siblings, making this Dr. Richard Holder and Coolmore-bred filly closely related to both Indian Evening and Mo For The Money.
Town Tour’s stakes winning granddam Evil Elaine is the dam of Horse of the Year Favorite Trick with Uncle Mo’s studmate and multiple Grade I winner Tiz The Law also under Evil Elaine on the page.
Uncle Mo runners out of Speightstown mares have proved successful with his six winners from seven runners including Grade II winner and leading second crop sire Laoban.
A leading sire year after year, Uncle Mo ended 2020 as the leading sire of graded stakes winners with 14 and fourth on the general sires list by earnings with at least three fewer crops than any of the stallions above him.
