$700,000 for Uncle Mo Colt Highlights Start of Book Two
The 2015 Keeneland September Yearling Sale continued on Friday with the first session of Book Two youngsters highlighted by a cracking colt by former Champion 2YO and now leading First Crop Sire Uncle Mo.
Consigned by Taylor Made and secured by Bob Baffert for $700,000, the star colt is from stakes-placed Quiet American mare Kiss the Lady.
"It’s an Uncle Mo and he’s hot,” said Baffert, who bought the colt for an undisclosed client.
"He’s just a really solid, sound, good walking colt,” said Frank Taylor, vice president of Taylor Made Sales Agency.
"He had a lot of class about him, and everybody lined up on him and really liked him.”
