$725,000 Uncle Mo Filly Tops OBS June

An Uncle Mo filly out of Ultralight Beam was the most expensive offering of the 2022 OBS June 2-Year-Olds In Training Sale this week when Donato Lanni secured her for $725,000.

Consigned by Omar Ramirez Bloodstock, she breezed in :10.0 at the Under Tack Sale before grabbing the spotlight in the sales ring. She is a granddaughter of the multiple stakes-placed Fleet Of Foot, who produced the multiple graded stakes winner His Trace to Win and the dam of Canadian champion El Tormenta.

The second foal out of Ultralight Beam, she also finds another important horse under one of her dam’s siblings – Uncle Mo’s multiple stakes winning Galilean.

“She's by Uncle Mo–I love the sire. We've been lucky with the sire. And she was all class. And smart. She's been that way since she's been here,” Lanni told Thoroughbred Daily News.

Ultralight Beam foaled a filly by undefeated Triple Crown winner Justify this year.

Uncle Mo’s juveniles have been in high demand with an average of $312,036 this year. His juveniles have brought up to $2.3 million in 2022.
