$800,000 Filly Wins in Saudi Arabia for Justify
Just For Sul (2f Justify x Susie’s Baby, by Giant’s Causeway) gave Justify his second winner in two days on Friday with a 1 ¼ length win in Saudi Arabia.
Racing over seven furlongs on the dirt, the gray filly raced in midpack for much of the race and had nearly 10 lengths to make up in the stretch if she wanted the win. Showing off her big stride, the Justify daughter did just that to score the win in her second start.
Racing for Prince Sultan Bin Mishal Bin Abdulaziz, the K. Aladhayani trainee was an $800,000 OBS Spring Sale of 2-Year-Olds In Training purchase by Chad Schumer from the Wavertree Stables consignment. The filly was also a $325,000 purchase by On The Rocks Racing from Eaton Sales at last year’s Fasig-Tipton October Sale.
Bred by Diamond Creek Farm, Just For Sul is a half-sister to Uncle Mo’s Grade III winner and multiple Grade I-placed Family Way out of a Giant’s Causeway half-sister to dual Grade I winner Caravaggio and Fusaichi Pegasus’s Grade II winner My Jen.
Susie’s Baby had an Uncle Mo filly last year, making that one a full sister to Family Way.
Justify is now the sire of 22 worldwide winners, led by four stakes winners and seven stakes performers.
