$850,000 Colt On Top for Justify at Fasig-Tipton Saratoga

A $850,000 colt purchased by West Bloodstock for Robert and Lawana Low led Justify’s Fasig-Tipton Saratoga offerings this week.

Bred by Cypress Creek Equine and offered by Bluewater Sales, the colt is a half-brother to stakes winner Dreamer’s Disease and two other winners from four to race. They are out of the winning Stormy Atlantic mare Marketplace, who is a half-sister to multiple graded stakes winner Enterprising.

This colt’s third dam is the Grade I winning Fire The Groom, who produced champion Stravinsky and stakes winner Moscow Ballet. Fire The Groom is also a half-sister to Grade I winner Dowsing.

Super Saks is the dam of Hip 182, a filly purchased by BC Stables for $625,000.

The T.F. VanMeter-bred offered by St George Sales is out of the multiple stakes winning Super Saks, who has one winner from one to race. Super Saks is a half-sister to the stakes placed duo of Broadway Zen and Mr Bluegrass Music in addition to Mexican filly Triple Crown winner Kutzamala.

This filly’s multiple stakes winning third dam Slide Show is the dam of Grade III winner and multiple Grade I placed Voodoo. Slide Show also has four other daughters who have produced stakes performers with three producing stakes winners.

Peter Brant purchased the $600,000 colt out of Living The Life from the Eaton Sales consignment.

This colt is a full brother to the Justify’s recent juvenile stakes winner Living Magic, who won the My Dear Stakes. They are out of Footstepsinthesand’s multiple graded stakes winner Living The Life, who is out of a half-sister to the multiple stakes winning Step With Style. Another one of her half-sisters is the granddam of multiple group winner Kool Kompany.

HnR Nothhaft Horseracing bred this colt, who also sold for $285,000 at last year’s Fasig-Tipton November Sale. Justify’s six yearlings sold during the two-session sale averaged $476,667 with a $450,000 median.
