A $250,000 Colt For Air Force Blue

Air Force Blue’s only Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale offering lit up the board on Tuesday when Mulcaster Bloodstock won a bidding war to take the colt home for A$250,000.

Offered early in the session, the half-brother to Group I Australian Oaks winner Unforgotten and Listed-placed Special Memories sold from the Coolmore Stud consignment. The colt’s dam Memories Of You is a half-sister to Group I winner Matiara, Group II winners Pyrus and Marathon, and Listed winner Precious Ring with another half-sister the granddam of Group I winning Indonesienne.

Bred by Katom, the colt is bred on a similar cross to Group I winners Fog Of War, Roly Poly, U S Navy Flag, Warning, and Winning Ways.

A European Champion 2-Year-Old, Air Force Blue’s first 2-year-olds in both hemispheres hit the track this year.
