Another Debut Winner for Uncle Mo
Making a winning debut at Ellis Park was promising colt Mo Tom (2c Uncle Mo x Caroni, by Rubiano), who showed plenty of courage to post a tenacious win.
Trained by Thomas Amoss, he was checked sharply in the early stages and recovered to find the line well and win the six furlong maiden by a neck.
A $150,000 Keeneland September purchase, Mo Tom is a half-brother to stakes-winners Beautician and Bella Castani.
He is the eighth winner for Champion 2YO Uncle Mo, who leads the US Firs Crop Sires List.
