Another Fasig-Tipton Sale Topper For Mo
There was a hint of déjà vu in the Fasig-Tipton pavilion at New York on Sunday when Uncle Mo sired the topper in the opening session of a Fasig-Tipton Sale and ultimately the sale topper. This time, the leader came at the New York Bred Yearling Sale when his daughter sold for $495,000 to Dream Maker Racing.
A half-sister to stakes-placed Satisfy, the filly is out of the winning Distorted Humor mare Averymerrymoment. Offered by Thomas J. Gallo III Sales Agency, the January-born bay is a half-sister to six winners from six to race out of her dam overall.
That dam is a half-sister to stakes winners Gratiaen and Cute Cognac with Cute Cognac also producing Grade III-placed Tesseron. Two other half-sisters of Averymerrymoment have produced stakes winners, led by Group III winner and Group I-placed Oiseau de Feu. This is also the family of Grade I winner Rutherienne.
A top sire and emerging sire-of-sires, Uncle Mo is having another excellent year in the sales ring with his yearlings selling for $1.6 million, $700,000, $575,000, $525,000, etc. That follows up a juvenile sales season where his 2-year-olds sold for up to $1.3 million.
