Another Strong Showing at Fasig-Tipton for Uncle Mo
It was another top result for Uncle Mo at the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky October Yearlings Sale on Thursday when his colt out of Grade II winner Sarasota fetched $250,000 from SBM as agent as the first hip through the ring.
Bred by Southern Equine Stables and Team Valor International, the colt was sold by Bluewater Sales.
He is out of Argentina-bred Sarasota, who won three graded stakes in her native country. The mare has excelled as a broodmare as the dam of six winners from six to race, including Grade I winner Salutos Amigos and Grade II winner Sarah’s Secret in addition to Grade III-placed Sun Goddess.
It’s been a successful Fasig-Tipton Kentucky October Yearlings Sale for Uncle Mo, whose son out of Picardia sold for $410,000 yesterday and currently tops the sale.
