Bahia Linda Wins G2 Clasico Carlos Campino Larrain for Lucky
Lookin At Lucky’s newest stakes winner came on Sunday afternoon when Bahia Linda (4f Lookin At Lucky x Bliteymania, by Pure Prize) won the Group II Clasico Carlos Campino Larrain in Chile.
Running just behind the pacesetter for much of the 1 1/8 mile turf race, Bahia Linda did her best running late. With a furlong left to run, the filly stepped into another gear to catch the leader in the closing strides and win by half a length.
It was the third win and 10th top three finish for the Haras Paso Nevado homebred, who is already Group I placed. A full sister to Group II placed Hey Jude and two other winners, she is out of a half-sister to the dam of U.S. Grade II winner Quiet Temper.
Bahia Linda hails from the family of champion racemare Heavenly Prize with multiple Grade I winners Dancing Spree, Finders Fee, and We Can Seek among the other stakes winners on her page.
A champion racehorse himself, Lookin At Lucky is the sire of 59 worldwide stakes winners and 37 graded stakes winners, led by 13 Grade or Group I winners.
