Champagne Lady Leads Uncle Mo Offerings at Keeneland

Uncle Mo’s multiple stakes placed daughter Champagne Lady was in demand during the first Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale session when she was snapped up by Barronstown Stud for $1.45 million.

Consigned by Lane’s End, the full sister to Grade I winner Mo Town was bred to Flightline for her first foal this year.

The 6-year-old is also a half-sister to Justify’s stakes winner and multiple graded stakes placed Justique with their winning Bernardini dam out of Grade III winner and multiple Grade I-placed Molto Vita.

Molto Vita produced three stakes performers herself, including stakes winners Jaguar Paw and Venetian Mask.

Stone Farm was the consignor of the $510,000 weanling colt purchased by AAA Thoroughbreds during the second book.

The colt is the first out of Curlin mare American Caviar, a full sister to multiple Grade III winner and Grade I-placed First Captain out of Grade III winner and multiple Grade I-placed America. America is also a half-sister to the dam of Grade I winner Paris Lights.

The family also includes Grade II winner and bluehen broodmare Better Than Honour and Grade I placed Maryinski and others.

Dudley Racing purchased the $500,0000 Hip 228, an Uncle Mo colt consigned by Hill ‘n’ Dale at Xalapa.

The colt hails from the same one as the $510,000 colt as the third foal out of Tapit daughter Discern. Discern is a daughter of stakes placed Lacadena, who also produced the aforementioned Grade III winner America and the dam of Paris Lights.

Mares in foal to Uncle Mo were also in demand during the first two books, selling for $500,000, $475,000, $450,000, etc.
