Declaration of War Winners Impress

War Front’s high class son Declaration of War continues to deliver a slew of promising winners with the latest names on the list featuring Assiro (3c Declaration of War x T’As D’Beaux Yeux, by Red Ransom) and Martineo (3c Declaration of War x Woodland Scene, by Act One).

Assiro saluted at Saint-Cloud in France on Thursday, posting his second win this year from just four starts with this tenacious victory over 1m2 ½f.

Trained by Antonio Marcialis and ridden by Christophe Soumillion, he looks a promising type and is a half-brother to stakes-winner Heuristique, who placed in the Group I Deauville Poule d'Essai des Pouliches.

Also successful was the William Haggas trained Martineo, who scored a comfortable win at just his second start when taking out a maiden event over a mile at Wolverhampton on the all weather track.

A homebred for Blue Diamond Stud, Martineo is the first winner for unraced Woodland Scene, a half-sister to Group I winner Crowded House.
