Dual Grade I Winner Moonshine Memories Gives Birth to Justify Filly

It was a big night at Ashford Stud on Thursday when exceptional dual-Grade I winning juvenile Moonshine Memories gave birth to her first filly by Justify.

The first of Justify’s Grade I winning mares to give birth, Moonshine Memories proved to be one of the best of her generation with victories in the Grade I Del Mar Debutante and Chandelier Stakes. The 5-year-old mare is one of three stakes horses from Unenchantedevening, who is also the dam of Listed winner and Grade II-placed Indian Evening.

Unenchantedevening is out of a strong broodmare herself in Evil Elaine, the dam of Horse of the Year Favorite Trick and granddam of Grade II winner Favorite Tale with Grade I winning Tiz The Law also from the family.

It’s shaping up to be an exciting year for Triple Crown winner and Horse of the Year Justify with his first foals arriving around the world in coming months.
