Exciting Air Force Blue Duo On Offer at Fasig-Tipton

Just a few weeks after having a $400,000 colt sell at OBS in early June, Air Force Blue is back with two offerings at the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Two-Year-Olds In Training Sale this week.

Europe’s Champion 2-Year-Old, Air Force Blue has struck early with his first runners as one of only three U.S.-based freshman sires to have more than one winner and the only U.S.-based freshman to have winners in both Europe and North America.

Both of Air Force Blue’s offerings come on the second day of the two-day sale with Hip 464 consigned by Hidden Brook for Seidman Stables the first through the ring.

Bred by Seidman Stables and Mary O’Bryan-Seidman, the colt out of Colonel Jen come from the family of five-time Group I winner Better Talk Now and Grade II winner Danzing Candy. The colt is bred on a similar War Front x Tiznow cross as Grade I winner American Patriot and Grade III winner Lull from two runners.

Air Force Blue’s second comes later in the day with Hip 522 consigned by L.G. breezing in :10.2 at the under tack show last week to stop the clock just two ticks off the bullet.

Bred by Reiko Baum and Michael Baum, the filly is a granddaughter of Grade II winner Glowing Honor from the family of Scat Daddy’s Chilean Horse of the Year Il Campione, Grade I Kentucky Derby winner Sea Hero, and Grade I winners Hero’s Honor and Eastern Echo.

She is bred on the same cross as stakes winner and Group II-placed Declarationofpeace and Group III-placed Turjomaan.

Air Force Blue’s 2-year-olds have hit the track running with two winners and two placers from seven runners and averaging over four-times his stud fee, led by the $400,000 colt, at this spring’s 2-year-olds in training sales.
