First foal for dual Champion Lookin At Lucky

The first foal by Champion 2yo and 3yo Lookin At Lucky, has arrived at Royal Pegasus farm in Lexington. Awesome, a winning daughter of Champion sire Storm Cat and from the family of Gr.1 winners Inside Information, Smuggler and Educated Risk foaled a dark bay filly on Monday. Lookin At Lucky proved very popular in his first season at stud in 2011, covering the best book of mares of any new stallion in America. His stellar mares due to foal include Gr.1 winners Lady Carla, Peeping Fawn and Yesterday and the dams of Gr.1 winners Flashy Bull, Plum Pretty, Smarty Jones and Virginia Waters to name but a few. Lookin At Lucky was the first horse since Spectacular Bid to be crowned Champion US 2YO colt and 3YO colt at the Eclipse Awards. A five-time Group 1 winning son of Smart Strike, Lookin At Lucky stands at Ashford at a 2012 fee of $30,000.
