First Stakes for Tale of the Cat Colt

Progressive colt Battier (3c Tale of the Cat x Whobabydatiz, by Boston Harbour) landed his first Black Type success on Sunday when taking out the $73,500 Fit to Fight Stakes at Aqueduct. A model of consistency, the Pablo Andrade trained colt settled fourth in the run before powering home to win the one mile contest by a length and a half. Battier has done little wrong to date in winning four races and finishing second twice from six starts with prizemoney of $137,200. Battier is the best of four winners from Whobabydatiz and is the 86^th stakes-winner for accomplished shuttle sire Tale of the Cat.
