Flow Meter Third Winner of Weekend for Sire
In a banner weekend for Air Force Blue, Flow Meter (3c Air Force Blue x View From the Top, by Sky Mesa) broke his maiden to become his sire’s third winner of the weekend and 22nd overall.
Racing over seven furlongs on the dirt at Hipodromo Camarero, Flow Meter spent much of the race in last. Circling the field in the turn, Flow Meter raced widest of all down the stretch to win by about two lengths.
Trained by Maximo Gomez for Jarab Racing, Flow Meter was bred in Kentucky by Curt Leake.
The first foal out of the winning Sky Mesa mare View From The Top, Flow Meter’s dam is a half-sister to stakes-placed Poseidon‘s Way and Grade II Fountain of Youth fourth Machismo. View From The Top’s third dam is the dual Grade I winner Ms. Eloise, the dam of Grade III winner Bibury Court among others and a half-sister to the dam of multiple Grade I winner Octave.
Air Force Blue’s 22 winners ties him for third among all second crop sires by winners alongside Uncle Mo’s Outwork.
