Galileo Popular at Keeneland
He might be Europe’s champion sire, but Galileo still packed a punch at the 2012 Keeneland September Yearling Sale with a number of good results in Book One.
Fetching $500,000 for Man O’War Farm was a colt from Egyptian Queen that went to the bid of Glen Hill Farm.
The colt is from a Storm Cat half-sister to Grade II winner and sire AP Warrior.
David Redvers Bloodstock paid $400,000 for a filly from Grade III winning More Than Ready mare La Chunga consigned by Lane’s End, while Hajime Satomi paid $300,000 for a colt from the Storm Cat mare It Must Be Magic that was offered by Taylor Made.
Galileo had four yearlings sell at an average $362,500 making him the most successful sire by average based outside of North America.
