Galileo Popular at Saratoga
Just two yearlings by champion European sire Galileo were offered at the 2012 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Selected Yearling Sale and both sold extremely well fetching $560,000 and $450,000.
Top seller for Galileo was a filly from dual Grade I winner Adoration that was consigned by Vanmeter Sales and secured by Robert and Lawana Low.
Not far behind was the filly from Nell Gwynn that was offered by Paramount Sales and purchased by Merrriefield Farm.
She is bred on the same Galileo over Danehill cross as champion racehorse Frankel being from stakes-placed Nell Gwynn, who is a full sister to another champion racehorse and successful sire in Rock of Gibraltar.
