Giant Posts a Grade One Winner in Peru

Champion sire Giant’s Causeway has had Grade I winners all over the world, the latest to join his tally coming in Peru where Kung Fu Mambo (3c Giant’s Causeway x Sweet City Gal, by Kingmambo) took out the Clasico Ricardo Ortiz de Zavallos at Monterrico. Trained by Arturo Morales, the three year-old colt won the 2000 metre feature by nine lengths, his overall record now two wins and three placings from five starts. Bred in Argentina, Kung Fu Mambo boasts an American pedigree and is the best of five winners from unraced Kingmambo mare Sweet City Gal, a half-sister to dual Grade I winner Dream Supreme, who is the dam of Grade I winner and leading first season sire Majestic Warrior.
