Chilean Grade II Winner Misia Mary Tops Successful Weekend for Lookin At Lucky
It was another Chilean graded success for Lookin At Lucky over the weekend when his daughter Misia Mary (3f Lookin At Lucky x Marfaga, by Powerscourt) won the Grade II Clasico Fernando Coloma Reyes at Hipodromo Chile for her first graded victory.
It was a major breakthrough for the Silva Gajardo Juan trainee, with Misia Mary already dual Grade I placed with seconds in the Grade I Mil Guineas Maria Luisa Solari Falabella and Grade I Tanteo de Potrancas during the summer.
A homebred for Haras Pasa Nevado, Misia Mary is a full-sister to the winning pair of Luck to My Way and Marfica and is from a half-sister to Lookin At Lucky’s Grade I winner Muy Gracioso and the stallion’s stakes winner Maria Suertuda.
The filly headlined a weekend that saw Lookin At Lucky sire four winners in three days in Chile and a two-year-old double in the United States on Friday. Misia Mary becomes the 49th stakes winner for her sire, who has proven to be a leading source of stakes winners in both hemispheres.
