How Lovely Newest Winner for Justify
Justify’s first born is now a winner after How Lovely (2f Justify x Foreign Affair, by Exchange Rate) won on debut at Pimlico with Mendelssohn’s Opus Forty Two in second.
Racing over five furlongs on the turf, How Lovely ran into trouble out of the gate but after regrouping was settled near the back of the pack. She was moved from her rail position around the turn to make sure she had clear running room as she started to close.
Racing down the middle of the track down the stretch, she won by an easy 1 ½ lengths while pulling away.
Trained by Arnaud Delacour, How Lovely is a homebred for Audley Farm and out of a half-sister to graded stakes winner and multiple Grade I placed So Perfect and stakes-placed Scat Eddie. Both are by Justify’s sire Scat Daddy. Their winning dam is a half-sister to Grade II winner Cowtown Cat as well.
Justify is the sire of 13 winners with that group including four stakes winners and three graded stakes winners with five stakes performers overall.
