Japanese Grade Two Winner for Tale of the Cat

Tale of the Cat has enjoyed success all over the world, his latest stakes-winner coming in Japan where A Shin Top (2c Tale of the Cat x Ecology, by Unbridled’s Song) captured the Grade II Keio Hai Nisai at Kyoto. Trained by Masato Nishizono, the colt maintained his unbeaten record to go three for three in the 1400 metre contest. A Shin Top scored a three-quarter length win in the turf contest, clocking a brisk 1:21.20 for the trip. A $400,000 Keeneland September Yearling purchase for Eishindo Inc, A Shin Top is a half-brother to Grade I winner General Quarters and stakes-placed New Wave being one of four winners from Ecology. He is the 79th stakes-winner worldwide for evergreen sire Tale of the Cat.
