Justify Colt On Top Again At Keeneland November
A Justify colt out of Grade III-placed Inchargeofme led all weanlings during the second session of the Keeneland November Sale when bringing $475,000, the stallion’s second weanling topper in as many days.
Consigned by co-breeder Nursery Place, who bred the colt with Manfuso and Wilhite, the colt was purchased by MV Magnier early in the session and never topped.
The first foal out of High Chaparral daughter Inchargeofme, the colt’s dam is a full sister to multiple Group I-placed Johann Strauss and Group I-placed Mythical from five winners out of her dam. Also a granddaughter of stakes winner Incheni, Inchargeofme sees Canadian champion Miss Keller under her third dam – the Group II winner Inchmurrin. Miss Keller’s granddam, Inchmurrin is also the dam of Group III winner Inchinor and stakes winner Ingozi.
“He’s a beautiful-looking horse, and Justify is making very good foals,” Coolmore's David Wachman said. “We’re just excited to be able to buy a very nice horse by him. Across the board, they’re very good, and he’s a very smart horse, that horse. We’re happy to have him.”
The colt is bred on a similar cross as Group I winner Fallen From Heaven and stakes winners Tango and Amanzi Yimpilo, with both by Scat Daddy sons and out of Sadler’s Wells granddaughters.
Justify’s first weanlings to go through the ring have sold for up to $600,000 with his in-foal mares topped by Uncle Mo’s Triple Grade I winner Bast selling for $4.2 million.
