Justify Colt Sells for $700,000 at OBS March

Only months after seeing multiple runners from his 2021 crop take home champion juvenile honors, Triple Crown winner Justify’s only 2-year-old sold at the OBS March 2-Year-Olds In Training Sale brought $700,000 during the second session.

Purchased by Donato Lanni on behalf of Zedan Racing, the Pick View-consigned colt is the first out of multiple stakes winner Pauseforthecause.

Hailing from the Chester and Mary Broman breeding program in New York, he sees stakes winners under each of his three dams with racing age foals on the page.

Pauseforthecause is a half-sister to two stakes performers and out of the multiple stakes winner and Grade I-placed Spritely, who is one of three stakes performers out of her own stakes winning dam.

Justify is already off to a big start in 2024 with his four worldwide stakes winners and 14 worldwide stakes horses including next weekend’s Group I Golden Slipper favorite Storm Boy.
