Justify Yearlings In Demand at Fasig-Tipton
A $320,000 filly led undefeated Triple Crown winner Justify’s Fasig-Tipton Kentucky October Yearlings offerings this week when purchased by Trade Winds Farm.
Offered by Paramount Sales, the colt out of two-time winner Allegheny Angel is a half-sister to multiple stakes winner Whoa Nellie and stakes-placed Cowtown. That mare is a daughter of the Grade I-winning Awesome Humor, whose seven winners include stakes winner Thetrashmanscoming and stakes performer Keep Me Informed.
This is also the family of Grade I winners Constitution, Emcee, and Grade II winner Surfer and Boynton among others.
Jackpot Farm went to $250,000 for a Nicky Drion Thoroughbreds-offered colt out of Tastes Like Candy on Wednesday.
Tastes Like Candy is a Grade I-placed half-sister to stakes winner Southern Success and the dam of American Pharoah’s stakes-placed Prince of Pharoah in addition to the dam of stakes placed Wentz. Under the colt’s third dam is Grade I winner Affirmed Success and Munnings’ Grade III winner Wondrwherecraig with eight other stakes performers under the colt’s first three dams.
A rising superstar sire, Justify saw nine of his yearlings sell at Fasig-Tipton this week.
