Justify Yearlings Set For Fasig-Tipton October
The final yearling sale of the Kentucky sales season has 14 yearlings by undefeated Triple Crown victor Justify set to go through the ring at the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky October Yearling Sale to contribute to his $393,713 average for 71 yearlings sold so far this year.
His first through the ring comes from Blue Heaven Farm as Hip 21, a half-brother to multiple stakes winner Heartwood and stakes-placed Luzmimi Princess. The trio have stakes talent running through their pedigree with their dam, multiple stakes winning Maple Forest, a third generation stakes performer and fourth generation stakes producer. Maple Forest is out of the stakes winner and Grade II-placed Maple Syrple, who has also produced Group III winner Golden Century.
Gainesway’s Hip 446 is a half-sister to the stakes winner and Grade III-placed Lemoona and three other winners from five to race out of the winning Holy Bull mare Singita. Singita is a half-sister to two stakes performers in multiple Grade II winner Juniper Pass and Group II-placed Charming Kid.
Not a stakes winner herself, Singita still has had an impact at the level as one of three stakes producers for her dam alongside Childish, who produced two stakes winners, and stakes-placed Price Talk’s dam Mayakoba. Names on the page also include Grade I winners Ticker Tape and Crowded House and Grade II winners Tale of a Champion and Postponed among others.
Bred closely to Justify’s studmate Caravaggio is the Eaton Sales-consigned Hip 554. A half-sister to Uncle Mo’s stakes winner Family Way and American Pharoah’s winner Baby Blythe, the filly is out of a half-sister to Caravaggio and to Grade II winner My Jen. Hip 553’s granddam is the stakes winner Mekko Hokte, who has produced six winners from seven to race and who herself is a granddaughter of Grade II winner Silver In Flight.
Vinery Sales offers Hip 907 on behalf of WinStar Farm Bred and Raised, the third foal out of the stakes winning Battle Girl. Battle Girl is one of five stakes performers for the stakes-placed Livermore Leslie, whose other two stakes winners are the multiple Grade I winner and stakes-producer Sweet Reason and Grade III winner Don’t Forget Gil. Livermore Leslie’s two stakes placers both placed at the Grade III level while one of her unplaced daughters is the dam of multiple stakes winner Zenden.
Justify’s offering conclude with a half-brother to multiple graded stakes winner Thiskyhasnolimit as Hip 1576 from the Baccari Bloodstock consignment. The colt’s siblings include seven winners from eight to race out of Lovely Regina, a half-sister to champion racehorse and successful sire Bernardini out of the Grade I winner Cara Rafaela. Another of Lovely Regina’s siblings is the Grade I-placed Ile de France, who produced dual Grade I winner Love And Pride.
