Lastofthsummerwine Brings $775,000 In Foal To Justify

Proven producer Lastofthsummerwine joined Magnolia Mares on Tuesday evening when the operation bought her for $775,000 in-foal to brilliant racehorse Justify from the Ashview Farm consignment.

Pregnant to Justify on a February 1 cover, Lastofthsummerwine is the dam of four stakes winners from four to race, including Grade III winner Happy Like A Fool and Grade I-placed Conquest Panthera. The mare is also the dam of the unraced American Pharoah 2-year-old Memphis Sky.

A daughter of Sky Mesa, the mare is a half-sister to Stakes winning Song Warrior and comes from the family of Grade I winners French Colonial, Nine Keys, and Silver Voice.

A popular choice for breeders and buyers alike, Justify’s first in-foal mares averaged $772,857 for seven sold at the Fasig-Tipton November Sale on Tuesday evening.
