Lookin At Lucky Daughter Catches Eye at Fair Grounds
Lookin At Lucky daughter She’s Lookin Lucky (3f Lookin at Lucky x Worldly Heiress, by Wildcat Heir) showed she’s one to watch on Thursday with a 13 ¼ length romp in a Fair Grounds Maiden Special Weight.
Racing for owner-breeder Richard Dunn, she kept the pressure on an early leader in the one mile dirt race before taking over just three furlongs into the run. The event proved to be a one-horse affair from there as She’s Lookin Lucky built up her margin to be well ahead in the stretch.
Wrapped up by Deshawn Parker in the final furlong, she coasted home 13 1/4 lengths in front with the third placed horse nearly 20 lengths behind and the rest of the field over 30 lengths behind at the line.
It was the third start for the Matt Shirer trainee, she is one of four winners from four runners out of her dam with that group led by seven-time winner Henry’s World.
She’s Lookin Lucky is a granddaughter of Grade III winner Changing World, who is a half-sister to stakes winner Star Channel and stakes placed Our Exploit.
Lookin At Lucky’s 3-year-old crop includes winners in four different countries with the group including one stakes performer and three others who finished fourth in stakes.
