Lookin at Lucky Filly Tops Fasig-Tipton NY Breds

A filly by exciting young sire Lookin at Lucky was the top priced offering at the 2014 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga NYB Preferred Yearling Sale on Sunday. Consigned by Rhapsody Farm LLC/Hidden Lake Farm LLC, the filly from Rose Rhapsody was purchased by Mandy Pope of Whisper Hill Farm for $270,000. The star filly is a half-sister to eight winners led by Rhumb Line, the dam of Grade I winner Zazu and Grade II winner Flashback. Mandy Pope is already very familiar with this filly’s family as she purchased Rhumb Line for $2 million out of the 2013 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky November sale. “She was a very lovely filly, well balanced with a good mind on her,” Pope explained. “And of course, I bought Rhumb Line, so I’m trying to take care of the family a little bit.”
