Lookin At Lucky’s Lucky Score Wins G3 Vigil
Lucky Score (4g Lookin At Lucky x Miss Matzo, by Royal Academy) became his sire’s newest stakes winner on Sunday with a victory in the Grade III Vigil Stakes.
Racing over six furlongs on the Woodbine All Weather surface, Lucky Score was last early on and didn’t make a move until the turn. Moving closer to the front, the gelding entered the stretch six wide and was in full flight running down the leader.
The lead became his with a sixteenth left to run and with light urging, he easily pulled away to a 1 ¼ length victory.
Trained by W.V. Armata, Lucky Score races for Domenic Liscio and Danny Iandoli and was winning his fifth career race to take his earnings to $291,737.
The gelding is a half-brother to stakes winner Miss Matzoball and out of a half-sister to multiple stakes winner Madame Giry. He was bred by James Everatt, Janeane Everatt and Arika Everatt-Meeuse in Ontario.
Lucky Score is the 46th worldwide graded stakes winner and 71st stakes winner for his sire, who also has 133 stakes performers to his name.
