Luck Be Mine Impressive Winner for Lookin At Lucky
An exciting group of juveniles for Lookin At Lucky gained another star on Tuesday when Luck Be Mine (2f Lookin At Lucky x Glory Be Mine, by Dome) put on an impressive display in a Sunland Park allowance.
Briefly conceding the lead in the six furlong race, Luck Be Mine dueled with the pacesetter before shooting to the lead in the turn. She looked like she may be under threat at the top of the stretch but quickly put that worry to bed when opening up on her outclassed rivals to win by six lengths as an easy winner for trainer Todd Fincher.
Bred by racing owners Bobby McQueen and Dale Taylor, it was the second win in three starts for Luck Be Mine, whose wins have come by a combined 13 ½ lengths.
Luck Be Mine is out of five-time stakes winner Glory Be Mine, who is also the dam of two stakes placed runners from her five winners from five to run with her foals winning 22 combined races.
The evergreen Lookin At Lucky sired this year’s Grade I Kentucky Derby winner Country House among his 13 worldwide stakes winners with his juvenile stakes horses led by Listed winner As Seen On TV and Grade III third Lookinatamiracle.
