Lucky Colt Wins Ontario Derby
Progressive colt Lookin to Strike (3c Lookin at Lucky x Miss Bonnie, by Officer) scored a career best win in the $126,750 Grade III Ontario Derby at Woodbine on Saturday.
Prepared by Mark Casse, Lookin to Strike stalked the pace and was strong to the line beating his stablemate Curlin’s Honor by a neck in the 1 and 1/18th mile contest.
A $210,000 purchase from the OBS April 2YO Sale last year, Lookin to Strike has won four of nine starts earning over $147,000 in prizemoney.
He is the first winner for unraced Miss Bonnie, who comes from the family of Grade II winner Diabolical.
Lookin to Strike is the 39th stakes-winner for Lookin at Lucky.
