Mare In-Foal to Uncle Mo Sells for $550,000 at Keeneland
A mare in-foal to Uncle Mo was the second most expensive broodmare of the third session at the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale on Friday when selling for $550,000 to Arthur Hoyeau as agent.
Consigned by Warrendale Sales as agent for Live Oak Stud, the German-bred Daveron is pregnant to the leading sire on a February 28 cover. A Grade I-placed daughter of Black Sam Bellamy, Daveron is the dam of two stakes winners from two to race with Grade II winning March To The Arch and Grade III winner Global Access as her third and fourth foals.
Daveron’s family has found success in the United States for generations with her dam a half-sister to the dam of Grade I Kentucky Derby winner Animal Kingdom.
A record breaking Champion Freshman Sire, Uncle Mo continues to be among the leading freshman sires with 10 stakes winners and six graded stakes winners in 2019 led by dual Grade I winner Bast.
