Mopotism Headlines Uncle Mo Offerings at Fasig-Tipton
Uncle Mo’s Grade II winning daughter Mopotism (5m Uncle Mo x Peppy Rafaela, by Bernardini) was the latest headliner for her sire when she sold for $1.05 million to Don Alberto Corporation at the Fasig-Tipton November Sale.
Winning or placing in 11 graded stakes – including four Grade Is – during her career, Mopotism was owned by Reddam Racing after being purchased for $300,000 as a 2-year-old.
Frank Batten bred the accomplished mare, who is out of a half-sister to Grade II winner Songster.
Consigned by Kingswood Farm as agent, Mopotism was joined in the headlines by Uncle Mo’s $700,000 weanling filly who sold earlier in the session. That filly was the second most expensive weanling to sale during this year’s Fasig-Tipton November Sale.
